The VC490T is a GMSL (Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link) camera designed for automotive applications, offering a resolution of 5.4 MP (2880 × 1860 pixels).
It features Sony Semiconductor Solutions’ IMX490 back-side illuminated, stacked CMOS image sensor SoC, enabling high dynamic range (HDR) imaging exceeding 120 dB, LED flicker mitigation (LFM), and motion artifact–free image capture at frame rates of up to 30 fps.
The camera integrates indie Semiconductor’s GW5300 Image Signal Processor (ISP), which performs advanced image processing functions—including lens distortion correction—to deliver optimal image quality for automotive use cases. In addition, the VC490T supports an external trigger mechanism, enabling precise capture synchronization with other sensor modalities such as LiDAR and RADAR for sensor fusion applications.
Designed for harsh automotive environments, the VC490T operates reliably across an extended temperature range from -40 °C to +85 °C.
